7月28日至31日，首届亚非青年联欢节在北京举办。来自亚洲、非洲36个国家的不同种族、不同肤色、不同语言、不同文化的500余名青年代表齐聚一堂。

"We gather in China." On July 28th to 31st, China launches Asian-African Youth Festival to promote Bandung Spirit in Beijing. There were more than 500 youth representatives of Different races, different colors, different languages, different cultures from 36 countries of Asia and Africa.

活动前我以为会遇到一群20岁的小伙伴，活动第一天看到翻看代表手册，作为XX大学的普通大学生的我着实惊呆，XX官员、XX高级记者、XX管理主任、XX企业总经理，画家...30-40岁的青年居多，原来“青年”的年龄被世界卫生组织定为15-44岁。

"We are young." Actually, at first, I thought I would meet the same peers around 20 years old during the festival . The fact is that most of the youth representatives are older than me ,I was shocked  when I saw the  manual of representive list, such as official, senior correspondent, manager, artist, director... According to W.H.O, the age of "youth" age is defined between 15 to 44.

每一个中国青年代表都自愿地承担起了志愿者的角色，比如我担任了10号车的翻译，上车告知行程安排，建起44人的WhatsApp群，在群里为大家答疑解难，帮助伊朗的mostafa大叔找文具店、为Sajad解决机票问题、带Gerald修手机....在No.10 group 群里大家纷纷表示了自己对我们的谢意，忽然觉得这些天的付出都是值得的。
Mostafa和Yasaman大叔对我说：“ Brenda can solve every problem.”

Every Chinese youth representive was volunteer，I worked as an interpreter to help  foreign friends sloveproblems.In the end, they showed us their compliments, which made us feel so moved and honored. 

还记得尼日利亚的朋友对我说："I love China more than before because of you."瞬间鼻头酸酸的不曾感觉一个人的力量会有多么伟大那一刻似乎感觉到了。

开幕式（人民大会堂）Opening Ceremony

我不曾想到自己会这么早来到人民大会堂开会。开幕式前客串了使节接待，阿富汗大使Janan真的非常平易近人。

"Great Hall of People is amazing." I never expect that I can come to Great Hall of People so early. I worked as the envoy receptionist to receive the ambassador of Afghanistan called Janan who is a very kind man.

走进中国铁建，感受达到纵横，是这庞大的铁路体系连接起了整个中国，山高、水深、高寒、断面，铁建人攻坚克难。

在中国社会科学院，这个被称为“亚洲最高智库”的地方，听听中国学者如何分析国际局势，各国友人分享讨论自己的观点，在交流中学会彼此理解。

Elham是阿拉梅·塔巴塔巴伊大学中文系主任，曾在北大学习汉语。Elham中文说的特别棒，而且声音温柔，人也很温暖。我作为汉语专业的学生，这次担起全车翻译的任务会很有压力，我总是担心自己的翻译不够准确。Elham老师和我聊天时说语言最重要的并不是专业能力，而是用心体会，理解要比传达更重要，传入是传出的前提。

Elham is the head of Chinese Department .She ever studied Chinese at Peking University. She speaks English fluently, and has a gentle voice. As a Chinese student who majors in Chinese language and literature, It is a little bit difficult for me to do the translation, but Elham encouraged me a lot.

执笔者是我们车上的一位伊朗画家，素拓中有一个环节需要每个队伍设计自己的队旗，这位美丽而有才华的画家仅用不到五分钟的时间画出了这条中国龙。

The woman is an Iranian artist, she painted a dragon on the flag within 5 minutes. We were all in open-eyed wonder.

这些来自政治、经济、媒体、艺术、科学、体育等多个社会领域的精英虽然“位高权重”但很少“摆谱”，待人接物有礼貌更有温度，这是我这次学到的最重要也最珍贵的财富。做有能力的人，也要心有一片海。

All of the representives are social elites from multiple fields like politics, economics, the media, the arts, science, sports, etc. However, they stand on the "high position"  of their countries,  they are still nice people who treat people  polite and warm-hearted, which is the most important thing I learned from them. 

To be the competent person who owns a big heart.
