Joan Guàrdia, rector of the University of Barcelona, and Vice-Rector Raúl Ramos, visited Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) on May 14.
Li Hai, secretary of the CPC BFSU Committee, welcomed the delegation. The two universities signed agreements for student exchange and the Erasmus program.

Li Hai highlighted their strong partnership in nurturing high-level talent and establishing Confucius Institutes.
He noted the frequent high-level exchanges and significant progress in collaborative projects, expressing optimism about future cooperation. He also emphasized the potential for further collaboration in scientific research, joint training, faculty exchanges, and cooperative education, thereby enhancing educational cooperation, cultural exchange, and understanding between China and Spain.
