Dalian pilot platform selected for National Key Development List

Dalian's "Refining and Chemical Intelligent Manufacturing and Industrial Software Pilot Platform" has made the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s preliminary list for the second batch of national key pilot platforms, which comprises 111 platforms nationwide.

The platform, in the category of emerging and future industries, was built by the Sinopec (Dalian) Research Institute of Petroleum and Petrochemicals Co and boasts advanced capabilities in technological R&D and the commercialization of results. National-level pilot platforms primarily cover six major fields, including the raw materials industry, equipment manufacturing, information technology, and future industries, serving as a critical link between laboratory technology and large-scale production and bridging gaps in the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements.

With the establishment of this national platform, Dalian will advance the construction and optimization of pilot facilities. Following a tiered development approach, the city will strengthen, energize, and enhance its pilot platform resources to accelerate the engineering development and commercialization of scientific and technological innovations.

Dalian aims to establish a comprehensive, modernized pilot platform system by the end of 2027 to support the growth of high-level pilot service entities and create a multi-stakeholder, multi-sector, multi-level pilot service network, continuously empowering the development of advanced manufacturing and emerging industries.
