Dalian accelerates modern industrial system development

Dalian is accelerating the development of a modern industrial system with advanced manufacturing as its backbone, transforming and upgrading traditional industries, cultivating emerging industries, and laying out future industries.
In the first quarter of this year, the added value of industrial enterprises above a designated size in the city rose by 9.9 percent, while their profits grew by 36.6 percent.
Since the beginning of this year, the city's traditional industries have accelerated their shift towards intelligent, green, and integrated development, with vitalization gaining momentum and strong growth potential emerging.
Hengli Heavy Industry has begun construction on over 150 ships, with orders for new ships and engines scheduled through 2030.
In the first quarter, the added value of the city's railway and shipbuilding manufacturing industry increased by 66.3 percent year-on-year; the metal products, machinery, and equipment repair industry increased by 43.4 percent; the chemical raw materials and chemical products industry increased by 18.2 percent; the petroleum processing industry increased by 11.6 percent. To date, the city has 71 national-level, 108 provincial-level, and 120 municipal-level green factories.
Dalian has developed an industrial structure led by petrochemicals, with rapid growth in the vehicle and shipbuilding sectors and continued strengthening in bearings, machine tools, and rail transportation. Its green petrochemical and fine chemical industry cluster has reached 400 billion yuan, the new-generation automobile industry cluster 100 billion yuan, the ship and offshore engineering equipment industry cluster 80 billion yuan, and the high-end bearing, CNC machine tool, and advanced rail transportation equipment industry cluster 58 billion yuan.
Since the beginning of this year, Hi-Think has maintained strong development momentum, continuing to land benchmark cases in fields such as intelligent manufacturing, smart healthcare, and smart finance, with its empowering effect becoming increasingly evident.
In the first quarter, the city's emerging industries gained momentum. The operating revenue of the software and information technology service industry grew by 3.1 percent; large models such as software engineering, large models, and intelligent chemical large models were widely applied in industrial scenarios; the city's technology contract transaction volume reached 6.95 billion yuan, up 25.2 percent year-on-year.
