Located in Ejin Horo Banner, the Ordos Cultural Industrial Park lies at the intersection of three cities – Hohhot, Baotou and Ordos, and the junction of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region and Shanxi, Shaanxi provinces.

The park is about 15 kilometers from the Ordos Airport and covers an area of eight square kilometers.  With an investment of 5.6 billion yuan ($811 million), the park was built into a film and television base, featuring pastureland civilization and Mongolian imperial culture of the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368).
