Singapore delegation visits Ordos for research and cooperation

A delegation from Singapore's government agency International Enterprise Singapore visited Ordos recently for research and inspection.

The delegation first met with officials from the foreign affairs offices of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region and the city of Ordos.

The head of the Ordos Foreign Affairs Office welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of the city and its high-quality economic and social development. 

The China division head of the International Enterprise Singapore expressed appreciation for Ordos' development and shared Singapore's practices in promoting green economic development in the context of carbon reduction.

Later, the Singaporean delegation visited the Zero Carbon Industrial Park in the Mengsu Economic Development Zone of Ejin Horo Banner for on-site investigation, and they learnt about projects related to energy equipment, the green energy photovoltaic industry chain, hydrogen heavy trucks, and hydrogen fuel cells.

They said they highly appreciated the efforts of Ordos in building a zero-carbon new industrial system, and hopes to strengthen deep connections and explore multi-sector cooperation.

They said that through this visit, they have gained an in-depth understanding of the efforts and achievements of Ordos in vigorously promoting the construction of a modern industrial system, driving the optimization and upgrading of industrial chain supply chains, actively fostering emerging and future industries. They said they hope to expand future business cooperation opportunities for Singaporean enterprises in Ordos by aligning with market demands.
