The Ordos & Shenzhen Aviation Energy Low-Carbon Economy Academy was unveiled at Ordos' Talent & Technology Innovation Center, Ordos city, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Aug 31.

The academy is a non-profit research institute jointly launched by Space Solar & Hydrogen Energy Innovation Institution of Shenzhen Energy Group, Green Ark International Alliance and Inner Mongolia Haorui Energy Co, as well as a number of other companies and organizations.

While seeking to commercialize research achievements of the Space Solar & Hydrogen Energy Innovation Institution of Shenzhen Energy Group, the new institution will introduce a number of patented technologies to carry out further research and development, iteration and application.

It will seek to offer practical assistance to Ordos and Inner Mongolia in developing the low-carbon economy, focusing on areas including but not limited to clean energy, assembling of new energy heavy trucks, comprehensive utilization of mining solid wastes, comprehensive treatment of mines, high standard amelioration and management of the gobi's sandy and desolated lands, and the planting of special, high value-added Chinese herbal medicines.
