The test flight represents a concrete step forward in the implementation of two regional plans for the high-quality development of general aviation and the low-altitude economy in Inner Mongolia, marking Ordos' progress in the development of large-scale drone logistics.

Once the cargo route is put into operation, it will facilitate the rapid delivery of high-quality specialty products from Ordos and surrounding areas to the Ordos International Airport, enabling swift transfers to first-tier cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.

The FP-98 "Leo" drone, used for this test flight, is China's first large fixed-wing drone developed by Feipeng Company. Among similar models, it boasts the longest operational time and the highest level of readiness.

Since the beginning of this year, Ordos Airport Group has harnessed the infrastructure advantages of the general aviation airport cluster in southwestern Inner Mongolia to fast-track the development of new low-altitude economic initiatives.

Specifically, the group has established Ordos Low-altitude Economic Development Co, actively promoted the classification and designation of low-altitude airspace, meticulously planned the construction of low-altitude infrastructure such as flight service stations, and explored a hybrid cargo model combining manned and unmanned aircraft while striving to normalize it.

These efforts aim to contribute Ordos' strength to the development of the low-altitude economy in the autonomous region and across the country.
