Ordos Ulan Muqir troupe lights up Philippines

From Sept 19 to 23, the Inner Mongolia Federation of Literary and Art Circles organized an art troupe in the Philippines to conduct a series of China-Philippines cultural exchanges titled "Impressions of Inner Mongolia".

Performers from Ulan Muqir troupe of Uxin Banner, Ordos, delivered a remarkable array of performances during the showcase event on Sept 20 and flash mob events on Sept 21, resonating deeply with locals as well as Chinese overseas citizens and students.

On Sept 20, the "Ulan Muqir Cultural Exchange Station in the Philippines" event was held in Manila, the capital of the Philippines. The Ulan Muqir troupe performed a variety of programs, including the song "Banquet Song", the long tune "Vast Grassland", and the solo performance of the morin khuur piece "Galloping Horses".

The group dance "Blessings" bestowed good fortune on spectators through graceful choreography; the female solo (long-tune) "Vast Grassland" transported the audience to the majestic landscapes of northern China; ensemble songs such as "Ode to the Motherland" aroused the patriotism of the Chinese in attendance; the group dance "Melody of the Era" showcased the vitality of the new era; the solo morin khuur performance "Galloping Horses" was grand and powerful, embodying the warmth and hospitality of the Inner Mongolian people; and the female solo "I Love You, China" expressed deep love for the motherland.

On Sept 21, the Inner Mongolia Federation of Literary and Art Circles' cultural exchange delegation conducted two flash mob events at Ayala Mall in Makati City and BGC-SM Mall in Taguig City, Philippines.

The Ulan Muqir members showcased their talents on the Philippines streets by playing the morin khuur, singing Khoomei, and performing Mongolian dances. Their performances, deeply embedded in Inner Mongolia culture, were well received by local audiences.

The "Hello! China - Inner Mongolia Impressions" photography exhibition was held concurrently with the event. The exhibition was jointly organized by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of the Philippines, the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Inner Mongolia Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Association of the Philippines.
