The first smart sports park in Shui'an Xincheng, Ejin Horoo Banner, Ordos, will be completed soon.

The smart sports park, with a total investment of 30 million yuan ($4.25 million), covers a land area of 59,842 square meters. Based on the site's former environment, the new park has been reorganized to enrich its sports functions, resulting in a three-dimensional park featuring one fitness ring, one mountain, one valley, one aquapark, and multiple venues.

"The Shui'an Xincheng smart sports park is designed with a focus on residents' needs, guided by the principles of green ecology and built to high standards. It offers a diverse range of sports facilities and cultural activities alongside optimized operational management, making it a smart sports park that integrates exercise and fitness, nature, and entertainment and leisure. The park is meant to provide residents with varied options for cultural engagement and active lifestyles," stated the Party chief of the Shui'an Xincheng Community Work Committee.

At the park, a diverse array of plant species – including arborvitae, shrubs, sub-arborvitae, and ground covers – contributes to a verdant atmosphere for residents to engage in leisure and recreational activities.

Furthermore, considering the population density and exercise habits among residents of Shui'an Xincheng, sports facilities have been strategically designed to accommodate the varying needs of locals across different age groups.

Among these facilities, the fitness equipment area spans 13,800 sq m and includes one standard basketball court, one volleyball court, one soccer field, and one gateball court.

A comprehensive range of fitness equipment has been installed alongside enhancements in landscaping and infrastructure improvements such as paving and road repairs. This initiative aims to establish a citywide sports park system that is accessible year-round at all times of day while catering to multiple types of activities across various fields.

In recent years, Ejin Horoo Banner has been continuously working to enrich the cultural activities available to residents and scientifically plan sports facilities. It has also promoted the all-people fitness movement, injecting new vitality into the high-quality development of the whole banner's economy and society.
