As Chinese New Year approaches, Ordos has prepared over 100 vibrant activities throughout January and February, warmly welcoming people from all over the country to celebrate this joyous festival!
The festivities will connect Spring Festival and Lantern Festival, from dazzling fireworks, drone shows, and gala performances to intangible cultural heritage DIYs, exhibitions, lantern riddles, and garden tours (starting from Feb 12).
In Kangbashi district, a delightful lantern riddle and garden fair will take place from Jan 30 to Feb 13. The festival culminates on Lantern Festival night with a drone show and musical fireworks display at Wulan Mulun Lake.
In Dongsheng district, festivities began on Jan 7 at Jiucheng Palace Prairie Intangible Cultural Heritage Tourism Area. Visitors here can explore grassland culture and enjoy thrilling ice and snow activities.
Ejin Horoo Banner's grand Spring Festival celebration will be held from Jan 29 to Feb 4. It will feature parades, dragon and lion dances, lantern displays, and celebrity appearances.
Children can also ring in the new year with animals at the city's wildlife park and the aquarium.
