Thank you for giving me the opportunity to join you today. While I am not able to be there in person, I am glad to share a few thoughts with you.

Let me start with the big picture. Globally, I believe that technology has become a fundamental source of competitive advantage. Technology serves as a catalyst that can help businesses boost productivity, innovation, and their ability to scale. That is why IBM is focused on the most transformative enterprise technologies of our time – hybrid cloud and artificial intelligence.

The banking industry provides a powerful example of what I mean. After having led the modernization of the global banking systems for decades, IBM’s mainframe platform continues to evolve and deliver critical and cutting-edge innovations that financial businesses need. And by bringing unique AI and cyber resiliency capabilities to the hybrid cloud for our banking customers, IBM continues to serve as a force of innovation and stability in China’s financial market.
我们以共创的理念为出发点，希望与我们的中国合作伙伴和客户一同努力，在满足客户需求的同时帮助他们应对最严峻的挑战。
At its core, our approach is based on the idea of co-creation. And we want to work alongside our Chinese partners and clients to address their needs and help them solve their most critical challenges.

Let me give you two areas where we are co-creating with our clients and partners in the Chinese market:
在可持续发展领域，我们正在运用IBM的技术和专长，通过提供全方位的解决方案，从碳中和路线规划、企业评价标准合规到碳核算和碳评估，以及供应链管理和资产管理等产品，助力中国实现双碳目标。这也正好与IBM的自身目标相一致，即IBM公司到2030年实现温室气体净零排放。
On sustainability, we are applying IBM’s technology and expertise to help China achieve its 30-60 carbon reduction goals through a full package of offerings, from zero-carbon strategy and ESG compliance plans, to carbon calculation and appraisal, as well as supply chain and asset management. This aligns with IBM’s own goal to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
在数字化转型领域，中国的数字经济充满活力和竞争力。自上世纪80年代以来，IBM一直致力于支持中国各行各业促进创新并加速数字化转型，其中包含了银行、电信、人寿保险和汽车等行业排名前十的中国企业。
On digital transformation, China’s digital economy is dynamic and competitive. Since the 1980s, IBM has been helping foster innovation and accelerate the digital transformation of a variety of industries in China, including the top 10 Chinese companies in the banking, telecom, life insurance, and automotive industries, among others.
