The G20 Education Dialogue: Education, Technology and Quality Growth in the Digital Era took place at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) from Oct 10 to 12.
Officials, scholars and youth representatives from 27 countries and international organizations participated in the event.

In his opening remarks, Wang Dinghua, chair of the G20 Education Dialogue and secretary of the CPC BFSU committee, said the combination of artificial intelligence and data science holds immense potential for improving learning, optimizing curricula and supporting the education process amid the digital revolution in the 21st century.
He expressed China’s willingness to work with other G20 members to make good use of digital tools and provide inclusive and equitable education and lifelong learning opportunities for all.
Leveraging the G20 Education Dialogue, a platform for educators, scholars and stakeholders to pool collective wisdom to solve common challenges, Wang called on G20 members to jointly promote global education cooperation and continuously contribute to quality education, sustainable development and shared prosperity.

The dialogue featured a keynote report session, where prominent scholars from universities, research institutes and international organizations offered perspectives on the global trends and future development of educational transformation in the digital era.
It also included panel discussions centered on technology-empowered inclusive and quality education, learning toward a sustainable future, cross-border collaboration in digital transformation and quality growth fueled by education, as well as a case sharing event, during which school representatives discussed their development and innovation within the context of China's vocational and high-quality education.

Supporting activities of the dialogue sparked conversations about reshaping future schools with digital learning, school transformations for learning development, reconstructing the vocational education system through digital empowerment and governance model innovation, as well as unlocking the future workplace through digital skills.
Participants also witnessed the release of Case Sharing: Basic Education Innovation in the Digital Era and the launch ceremony of the compilation for Innovation in Technical and Vocational Education in the Digital Era: The Chinese Cases.
The G20 Education Dialogue was hosted by BFSU in collaboration with the G20-BFSU Center, the university’s Academy of Regional and Global Governance, its International Business School, the Research Center of the United Nations and International Organizations and Global Education Governance Research Center.
During the three-day event, 56 international guests and 44 Chinese experts shared their insights on education, technology and quality growth, with the participation of more than 200 representatives from Chinese and foreign education administrative departments, research organizations, universities, schools and companies.
