The Ministry of Education's Party Group announced on Nov 19 the appointment of Li Hai as the secretary of the CPC Committee at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU).

Attendees included officials from the Ministry of Education and Beijing Municipal Education Working Committee, BFSU leadership team members and representatives of high-level talents and young teachers.

Li Hai, born in March 1974, holds a graduate degree and a Master of Arts. A member of the Communist Party of China, he previously served as deputy director-general of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges at the Ministry of Education and as the Chinese consul general in Irkutsk.
