Introduction to the World Association for China Studies (WACS)
The World Association for China Studies (WACS) is a non-profit, non-governmental international organization made up of academic institutions as well as individual scholars and experts of China Studies from countries and regions across the world, with its headquarters in Beijing. The WACS aims to promote and facilitate the development of China Studies, to enhance exchanges, dialogues and experience sharing among international academic communities, and to contribute to the common development and mutually beneficial cooperation of countries around the world.
The WACS builds a platform for international exchanges and cooperation on China Studies, and facilitates the promotion of China Studies with working on the following tasks:
1)Organizing and supporting exchange activities, joint research projects and annual world academic summit on China Studies;
2)Publishing annual development report of China Studies and the WACS academic journal;
3)Funding academic publication and disseminating quality achievements of China Studies;
4)Building WACS database on China Studies;
5)Funding academic training activities to reinforce research capacity in China Studies;
6)Operating WACS website to share cooperation experience, research information and academic achievements.
