World History Studies

World History Studies is a professional English journal of world history in China. It was founded in 2014 and is managed by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, co-sponsored by the Institute of World History, CASS and Social Sciences Academic Press. The journal is published biannually and distributed globally. It aims to build a new platform for academic exchange between Chinese and foreign historians.

WHS encourages academic innovation and currently mainly publishes papers that reflect the latest achievements in domestic and foreign history, as well as academic and biographical introductions and book reviews by renowned historians. This journal mainly features papers by experts in Chinese world history, and also appropriately publishes excellent academic achievements of foreign scholars. The content of WHS is mainly divided into the following parts: national and regional history, ancient and medieval civilizations, global history, international relations history, China and the world in historical contexts, academic review of Chinese world history research, review of the latest Chinese world history monographs, and introduction of influential Chinese and foreign world history historians from a comparative perspective.
