Chinese Journal of Urban and Environmental Studies (CJUES) was founded in 2013. It is sponsored by Social Sciences Academic Press (SSAP), with World Scientific Publishing Co Pte Ltd (WSPC) as its overseas publishing partner. CJUES is a quarterly journal in the field of economics and is publicly distributed. It mainly composed of theoretical research, book reviews, academic reviews and statistical data. The editor-in-chief is Pan Jiahua, member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and director of the Institute of Ecological Civilization of Beijing University of Technology. The editorial board is composed of experts and scholars from well-known research institutions and universities around the world.
CJUES aims to publish high-quality research papers and book reviews that explore academic and policy issues in urban and environmental studies, and focuses on the following areas: Theoretical and conceptual frameworks for urban and environmental studies; Domestic and international urban and environmental trends; Urban studies, including: urbanization, urban planning, urban form, urban problems, urban land use, urban transportation, etc.; Sustainable development and environmental development issues, including environmental protection, environmental policy, climate change; Linkages between urban, environmental and other areas of socio-economic policy; International comparison and international development.
