Open World Economy and Realizing World Economic Recovery: A Study on Promoting Regional Economic Integration between China and ASEAN

Project Introduction: 

The purpose of this project is to analyze the industrial chain connections and trends of China-ASEAN agriculture, low-tech manufacturing, medium and high-tech manufacturing, commercial services, as well as private and public service industries from the three dimensions of trade, investment, and value chains. It evaluates the economic and trade cooperation framework in the Asia Pacific region, such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership, the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework, and the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement on the economic integration of the China-ASEAN region. At the same time, based on international experience, practical and feasible policy recommendations are proposed to promote the economic integration of the China-ASEAN region in order to enhance the position of China and the ASEAN region in the global value chain and its discourse power in the global division of labor system.
