Academy of Overseas Chinese Studies, Jinan University

Academy of Overseas Chinese Studies in Jinan University was established in 2011 as a key research base for humanities and social sciences by the Ministry of Education. The main research directions of the institute include overseas Chinese and transnational migrants, Southeast Asian studies, the Belt and Road Initiative, Chinese diplomacy and overseas Chinese affairs, South China Sea issues and geopolitics, and international relations. The research institute hosts academic publications such as Southeast Asian Studies and Overseas Chinese Studies, and collaborates with the school library to establish a literature center for overseas Chinese studies.
