Key Research Institute of the Social History of China, Nankai University

The Key Research Institute of the Social History of China at Nankai University was reconstructed according to the requirement to intensify the reform on science and research and construct a first-class key social and humanity science research base. It passed inspection by the Ministry of Education in September 2000, becoming one of the selected units of the Humanities and Social Sciences Key Research Bases Construction Plan in General Higher Learning Schools.

The Key Research Institute of the Social History of China at Nankai University now has 31 full-time and part-time researchers, as well as executive and library management, including 24 full-time or part-time professors, 5 associate-professors and 24 persons holding doctoral degrees. The full-time researchers are drawn from various academic units within Nankai University, such as the College of History, the Department of Political Science, the School of Economics. Additionally, the part-time researchers are social history specialists from reputable universities and institutes.
