The Business Revenue of National Cultural and Related Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size in 2023

According to a survey of 73,000 cultural and related industrial enterprises (hereinafter referred to as "cultural enterprises") above the designated size nationwide, in 2023, the cultural enterprises achieved business revenue of 12,951.5 billion yuan, which was 8.2 percent higher than last year calculated on comparable basis (see Annotation 2 for details). Among them, the 16 industry categories with obvious characteristics of new cultural business formats achieved a business revenue of 5,239.5 billion yuan, up by 15.3 percent over the previous year, and 7.1 percentage points higher than that of all cultural enterprises above the designated size.
